Will most standard tone rings fit nechville's?? I've heard of people putting other tone rings in them, For instance, if I had access to a medium crown tone ring.. could I try it ?? and are there any pictures of the titanium cap..? is it the same concept as the brass hoop?

	alprice says: 9/6/2012 11:35:02 AM Kirby, Yes, a standard tone ring will fit. But, make sure it has enough room inside if using ball bearings. The titanium cap is a rolled hoop fitted to a TimbrTronic. It gives a more metallic edge to the sound. I love it-- I have one here and will post a photo. Al

Great sustain & clarity up the neck -- had to crank down the tailpiece a bit, it actually got too ringy to my ear compared to the prior set-up with the brass ring. I just got back from Am. Banjo Camp, Janet Davis and Alan O'Bryant said it sounded really good.

	CAPT Steve says: 9/10/2012 2:04:55 PM Al--how did y'all at Nechville settle on titanium, as opposed to, say, brass/bronze or another alloy commonly used in musical instruments? Titanium is light and very strong-I'm thinking military jet aircraft and, for a while, high end bicycle frames-neither of which are too concerned about tone quality even if military jets sound great. And nothing else comes to mind where titanium is used for musical purposes. I wondered about this the first time I heard about the TTT; didn't ask then, but this gives a great opportunity. (The engineer geek coming out; must contain.) Thanks, Steve
