The $7 Accessory that Extended my Playing Life

From wesrichards on 12/1/2016 6:50:13 AM

Don't get mad. I'm not trying to sell anything. In fact, I'll bet every one of you already has one of these.

I play seated. Back trouble. I play my LNs on the lower frets. But that left arm in the air kills me after about five minutes.

So a few weeks back I turned a little sideways in the seat and propped my arm on the chair's backrest.  Voila! No aches or pains.

This particular chair cost me seven bucks at a thrift shop. It's in the basement. We use it to sit and wait out the last few minutes of the washing machine's spin cycle.

For me, at least, this works! And if you want a fancier model, I'm sure you can find one but I can't vouch for the price.

I like the solution... Any chance of a picture? While that particular ailment hasn't hit me yet, it is probably only a matter of time...

I'll try to get someone with a camera that doesn't break when pointed at me and clicked. :)

Linked by jbakervt 2 years ago: The religious basis of authority in the Middle East (or anywhere for that matter) is the source of a lot of suffering and is unsustainable. The violence is mostly perpetrated on women and children.

Linked by jbakervt 2 years ago: A song about mentorship, inspired by my mentor and HIS mentors too, that takes the form of the story of a ship’s mate being “shown the ropes”. The old sea captain may also have been a long-neck player
