I'd never seen or heard of one of these. Anyone know if this was a stock variation?

	BowlingGreen46 says: 11/9/2014 7:43:25 AM That looks just like the one I got in 1964 - direct from the factory to the music store where I bought it. No modifications. The archtop is formed by the brass tone ring being a smaller diameter than the wood rim. That was a good sounding banjo.

And I'm a big fan of archtops. Just never seen one of these before (early adapters kind of ignored Gibson until Gibson stopped ignoring us.)
	BowlingGreen46 says: 11/9/2014 7:50:26 PM I've always liked Gibson, so that's the one I got in '64. I've still got the neck. I inlayed it, put Grover tuners and ODE D-tuners on it, and later put the neck on a Mastertone pot I got off of eBay. There's a picture of it on my page.

	LJ says: 11/16/2014 5:12:24 AM I just sold a 1962 arch-top RB175 on ebay last week. A guy from LA paid $850. He got a great deal. I had bought it in the summer with the idea of doing upgrades on it but when I saw it in its all original, pristine condition I couldn't bring myself to make changes. I only paid $600 for it so I made some money but RB's are so under valued right now that they are a great buy. As I've mentioned before on here, I've owned one for years and I believe that they are in many ways superior to the Vegas.
