Orpheum Long Neck

From wesrichards on 7/15/2014 10:36:21 AM

Just acquired same from Intermountain in Salt Lake City.  It's an oddball and I really like it.  The neck was redone, probably in the 60s.  The pot is probably from the 19-teens and is sort of 12 inches.

It's not heavy (good.) It's not loud (also good.) Nice action and pretty in a shabby chic sort of way.

Someone's probably going to want pictures. I'll do that or get permission of the dealer to repost his.

I saw that for sale on Intermountain's site and I was drooling. If I already didn't have two L/N's, I would have bought that, especially at the price it was listed at. I have an Orpheum plectrum and would have like a 5 string mate for it, as they are so tastefully inlayed, with extremely playable necks, and sweet tone. Congrats!

Leo's a good guy...always seems to have something unusual...always a fair price.
I was admiring that one too.

It not only had a lot of character, but it appeared the neck had been extended a la the directions in Pete's "Little Red Book"
