	john bange says: 4/16/2014 8:20:04 AM you couldn't be more correct. I think the bad photos are deliberate. the banjo is hinted at being a Seeger Vega and the ad is deliberately vague.
	Lew H says: 4/16/2014 8:37:16 AM John seems right to me. This might be the cheaper Ranger model or some other longneck altogether. My experience with eBay purchases is that if the picture is fuzzy or dark, or the verbal description is vague, you should avoid it like the plague. I have missed only a few buys with this rule, but the seller didn't know enough to describe the item adequately or misread the label, etc.
	wesrichards says: 4/16/2014 8:44:12 AM He says in the fine print that it's a folklore. So, even though he flings around the Seeger name, he's probably legally okay. But the price is ridiculous. Mandolin Bros. has a perfectly nice one for $1500. There's one on banjo buyer for $1000. There's one on Elderly's website for the same. A recent one on Ebay sold for around $600.

Eno says: 4/16/2014 8:59:22 AM Well, the seller identifies it twice as a "Folklore" model and once as a "Pete Seeger long neck", so I suppose it could confuse a bidder hoping to score a "Pete Seeger model". The description is not incorrect (though the markings on the head are characteristic of three-finger picking, not frailing), but caveat emptor!

	Mike Casey says: 4/16/2014 9:33:45 AM The photos are bad and a casual read of the accompanying ad indicates that this is a Pete Seeger model. He is asking a Pete Seeger price for the banjo which it is not - as the yellow label inside the rim likely indicates. The yellow label will clearly say which model it is and will not be written in "fine print." Whether intentional or out of ignorance the fact that Paul called it to his attention is commendable. Now he knows for sure what he has and that his ad is deceptive the way it is written. Once again those on the Hangout have prevented another sad story of banjo "mistaken identity." Thanks again. Now the seller should pull down the ad and at least restate the description if not take better pictures with one being of the yellow label showing the model name.
