I'm having a tough time finding who makes nylon or nylgut strings that are long enough to use on a long neck. I don't want to go the fishing line route. Any suggestions? Thanks.

	john bange says: 4/30/2013 10:41:26 AM Labella #17's are long enough but I think you will find them too light a gauge. The fishing line takes no more time to stretch than any nylgut/nylon string that I have found. I use the 4th string from the Aquilla all nylon set along with the fishing line...havent changed strings for a year

	john bange says: 4/30/2013 3:55:21 PM I bought the cheapest 1 lb. spools I could find of clear monofiliment. I use 30lb for my 1st, 50lb for my 2nd, 60 lb for my 3rd, the 4th from the all nylon Aquilla set(I get these sets from Bernunzio in New York)...a wound Labella from their #17 set will work and the wound 4th from almost any Aquilla set is long enough if you find you do not care for the "all nylon" sound. The wound 4th string is the weak link in this set-up, lasting only a month or two. I use a 40lb for my 5th string. I tend to stay in G tuning but I bet these weights would cover C tuning also. I tune my banjo G,B,E,G#,C#. I have a sliding capo for going up the neck. To go down the neck and open E, I retune the 5th.
