Surprised this group started. I wonder if I apply as a group member as I'm not sure this is a Buckbee. I swapped this one for my first openback banjo (Goldtone MM-150) and still very happy with the deal.
I don't know how to post pictures on this blog, so you can find them on my BHO homepage. This banjo apparently had 6 strings (one extra hole in the middle of the peghead). The dowel stick is stamped with an imprint that says "Hero trademark" and "Köhler&Sons Agents Victoria Street Westminster London".
There are pictures before and after the previous owner removed the middle peg and put on a fiberskyn head, geared tuners, nylguts and a no-knot tailpiece.
It is a nice instrument and very much fun to play. If someone could tell me more about this banjo, I would be very grateful.
