Any questions you might have I'll do my best to answer & If I don't Know the answer...I'll make something up apon close scrutinety of the Net & Google.

Although they haven't yet joined this group, BHO members Cathy Fink and Marcy Marxer are both accomplished uke players.

Just took a look at your page Lynn. Is that little Slingerland banjo uke playable yet? I bet it sounds great. Is it a May Bell?

I play a baritone uke. Nothing fancy or $$$ (Lanikai LU-21-B) but it's a decent little uke for putzing around. I attend a 'folk' jam once a month and we have a little "Ukestra" group that plays a song or two together for the rest of the group....usually something we find off the ukulele-tabs.com/ or the doctoruke.com/songs websites. I do cheat a little though.... I usually retune the 1st string to "D" and play in open G tuning (banjo tuning) as I often initiate practice on new banjo tunes using the uke until I get the fingering down pat....that, and I can play into the wee hours (quietly) w/o waking the rest of the house. It's a fun little instrument...with a lot of 'heart'.
