As a "senior citizen" (oldie) I often find it hard to make some chords. There are some alternate ways to make some...like the D7, or the G. (Hawaiian style).... and I was wondering is there a chord chart....that might have the "Standard" chords, but showing "Alternative" methods to make chords???

Some of us just can't get our old fingers to twist into shape...practice won't work cause our fingers just can't bend right anymore....LOL...

	dewbanjo says: 12/6/2012 8:55:24 AM Hawaiian way for a G make a G7 chord and bring your pinky down to hold the 3rd string 3rd fret. Cheat for D7 is 2020... Don
	Jim Yates says: 3/8/2014 12:27:08 PM dewbanjo, The fingering you describe would give a G7#5 chord (0312) which is not used very often. A pinky is the weakest finger and I think the easiest way of making G is 0232 using the index on the third string, the bird on the first string and the ring on the second string. Another fairly simple way is to barre the first three strings at the 2nd fret and drop the ring finger on the 3rd fret of the 2nd string. If I am following the G chord with a G7, I will form a G7 chord and drop my pinky on the 2nd string, 3rd fret to make the change easier.
	Jim Yates says: 3/8/2014 1:17:03 PM I usually make a B7 2322, but my brother usually makes it 4320. It's easier his way, but my way, being a closed chord, can be easily transposed.
