I guess I should have said water resistant method. Anyway, wondering what solutions others have used to treat their heads for improved moisture resistance. I've mostly used Bill Millers heads alsong with a few others from various suppliers. For the most part they have held up ok and I really like the sound. Last year while at Clifftop my favorite player banjo (old home built w/ 10 15/16" Tubaphone pot) developed a nasty split (very humid) and I actually put my thumb through it while playing. Not a pretty picture. I usually install the heads, let them dry out, then remove and treat them a couple times. I've mainly used KIWI leather waterproofing spray. Results ok, but hoping for better. What have others used? Thanks for any input and recomendations. Glenn C.
