Recently I began another gourd banjo on order from one of our forum members. It is a 5 string banjo being made from a medium sized gourd with a cherry wood neck, will have a calf skin head, Purrll gut strings and a hard maple bridge. Tuners will be ebony fiddle tuners and it will have a leather tailpiece. In all it is a very simple banjo, but will be elegant to sight and should be a fine player. You may view it on my B H home page as the latest edition to my pictures, Colt's banjo. It is about half done. Finished pictures will come later.
