I'm signing up for this group, pre-gourd. I just bought this (http://www.banjohangout.org/classified/20974) but won't be getting it for a few days. I love the sound of gourd banjos and have been wanting one for a while. I spotted this one in the classifieds and decided it needed a home. I hope to make a gourd banjo at some point and will get some guides and ideas from having a nice one in hand. I have one of Eric Prust's tackheads (not a gourd, but similar sounding) and really like the sound of the nylgut strings, I seem to be going backwards in time though from my commercial type open back banjo to the older styles and sounds...love them all. WC
