Heh, we have five members, and I'm apparently the only one to expose my ignorance on gourd banjos. Someone else, "Hello!" Start an argument, push your views, Say something!

For one, whose banjo is the one pictured on the Group Homepage? Nice looking instrument.

	Sally Goodin says: 3/17/2011 3:07:03 AM I don't have a gourd banjo, yet - but want one. What should I look for in one, and who are the various builders? I have no desire to build one myself. I have a 13" fretless tack head that i play, and it sound great; just wanted to add a gourd to my collection and play my oldtime tunes on it!

	Austin Stovall says: 3/24/2011 11:33:53 AM When I started this group I didn't have a picture and was on a library computer and couldn't upload a piture of my own gourd banjo but I thought the group needed a picture. luckly there was a gourd banjo to chose from in the preloaded images from the hangout. I wish I knew where it came from and who built it! It looks very nice!
