Does anyone have any leads on where to get a flattened bottle gourd? Thanks much!

	Tom Berghan says: 3/3/2017 8:53:58 PM No doubt you are viewing David Hyatt's bottle gourd that is on permanent loan to Adam Hurt. David personally grew that gourd wedging it between two boards as it grew. I'm afraid you'll have to grow your own if you want a flat back like that. I have a wonderful small bottle gourd banjo that although it has a small body it is a full scale banjo at 26.375 inches. It sounds wonderful. I think the flat back Hyatt is interesting but kind of a hype thing because it is Adam playing it. You know Adam could play a tennis racket and make it sound good! Not that the one Adam plays does not sound great - it certainly does - but mine sounds as good or even better to me! Mine was made by Noah Cline.
