I want to explore some lower tunings and enjoy the feel/sound of thicker strings. I always have, regardless of what instrument I'm playing at the time. I figured a set of Julia Belle's (12-16-20-24-12) would do just fine as a jumping off point and I could later figure something out if I needed to.
What gave me pause though is the tension the head would be under if I came out of the lower end tunings and went back to standard G or heck, even A. Will I dent/crack or maybe even just break the remo, or what?
Excuse my ignorance if you please, I am learning. Thanks again.
