Hi, I'm new to the group. I have one of Doug's 10 15/16" tubaphones. I had a press-on resonator close fitting pie plate resonator made for it from an old Vega and the local Luther did a great job on it. Perfect match. Though I love this banjo, I may be selling it in the near future. I will try to post some images in case anyone's interested. It has a beautifully rendered headstock and carved heal with inlay.

I lost my skin head this summer and currently have a Renaissance on it. Tried to order a couple through Banjoseen but they took my money and didn't deliver. Anyone elsewhere that problem?

	pastorharry says: 10/1/2015 12:10:53 AM Hey John, Banjoseen was run by Mr.Bill Miller who has passed away some time ago. If you paid over the internet with a card, dispute it at your bank....dittos with a check. Next, contact John Balch, he has the best hide heads in the business and will fix you up. I especially recommend his Stern Tannery hides, they are exceptional. Aloha !
	OTJohn says: 10/11/2016 12:51:51 AM Well, I have played my Unger tubaphone with a Renaissance head for a variety of gigs, festivals and jams etc. and it sounded pretty good. I asked Brooks Masten to install a nice goatskin on it awhile back and it turned out great. There's something about the combination of an old Tubaphone set up well with a good skin head that's hard to beat .
