I have just fitted a Fults Blue Ridge tailpiece to my Deering Black Diamond. It is a beautifully made tailpiece and was easy to fit and set-up. I'm a born tinkerer and am looking forward to trying out different tone pins.

Wondered if anyone out there has fitted a wooden tone ring to their Deering and if it a simple job to replace, like just taking off the existing tone ring and popping on the new one.

	Clive Halls says: 2/4/2011 12:53:18 PM Hi Peter, it's made the tone different and I like the new sound. It has made the banjo a bit louder and it rings, in fact lots of sustain. Yes they are expensive but I really wanted to try one and couldn't rest until I ordered one. It's a one-off buy so I guess I can justify the cost. Clive
