Man, my goodtime 2 was sounding kinda buzzy and mushy ...So, why I'm waiting for my Maple Blossom to arrive (Tomorrow, yahoo!) I had a brilliant idea to actually read the manual on the banjo (got it online at Deering).

Wow, I did the whole "take it apart and adjust things" as recommended in the manual. The head was way lose, my action was too low, and my tail piece was too high.

What a difference, the sound is poping out this thing like new!!! Now don't get me wrong I still want the Blossom, but man I should have read this a while ago...

So, to any other "newbees" out there,....do the regular check-ups on your banjo, it'll love you for it!

And, everyone knows no real man will stop and ask for directions! By the way, got my Maple blossom today, Wow, is it heavy, and loud.....This thing is Awesome!

	tkocason says: 7/13/2011 8:04:00 AM Thanks, I've since bought the Greg Deering workshop DVD on making your banjo sound good. He takes a Boston completely down to parts and puts it back together again, while explaining the ins and outs. It's very helpful.
