I LOVE my Deering Calico, and had a custom grenadillo tone ring put in when I first ordered it. I got this idea from a John Hartford riverboat banjo, and the result is a more poppy-plunky sound that I find really works well for fiddle tunes and Celtic music. Here's a video of my playing Blackberry Blossom on my Calico, I hope you enjoy and let me know if you want TAB for any of the licks I'm playin!
