	g3zdm says: 4/30/2012 8:00:59 AM Unusual (for me at least) in terms of using 3 finger style on GDAE banjo. It sounded good though (we play those reels locally, buit I play them on my 5-string).
	captbanjo says: 4/30/2012 10:06:33 AM Yeah, I pondered the 'unusualness' aspect of it all for quite a while, trying a flatpick and also trying the five-string (which I do play) and I finally realized that until very recently in time, the banjo wasn't even used to play Irish music. Barney McKenna (RIP) had a lot to do with the acceptance of a GDAE tuned tenor banjo entering the Celtic music world. The use of fingers is simply one way to approach things.
