My instructor mentioned this forum once during practice so I still looking around but have found rather quickly so many people have the same issues I do. Old and crappy is one of them.

I bought a cheap banjo found on craigslist and tried learning on my own but that didn't work so I found a teacher and there is progress. Very slow progress but it's the right direction. I don't give up easily.

Hope to learn lots from anyone who wishes to share.

There are several hangout members in your area that you might hook up with, I think. ANy chance you are coming to Grey Fox in 2 weeks? If so, please do come to one of the meetups, it's on the main schedule. Love to meet ya, as I too am struggling along, with the help of a good teacher. Tom (JAFO)
