Slowing down? Okay, folks...this is your chance to say what you think.

Do you think life from another planet has been here or are here?

What do you think they look like if you have not personally seen them?

un5trung - Posted - 06/12/2011:  07:57:01

UFOs? Sure. They're's few bird flying that I can recognize, and not a single bird in the sky with whom I"m on a first name basis, so I figure everything up there is a UFO!

Aliens, like from other planets? I'm sure they exist. I have no doubt. But are they visiting us, in secret no less? Nah -- why would they bother?

If they are smart enough to get here, they probably are smart enough to realize how dumb we are. Therefore they would realize that meeting with us would not be necessary or wise.

How else do you think this planet was populated?

Nick Danger - Posted - 06/12/2011:  13:22:06

Do I think aliens exist?  Maybe.  I mean, given how huge the universe is, I would be surprised if something (or someone?) else WASN'T out there.

Do I think alien life has visited us before?  No.  (Just my personal belief.)  Space is incredibly vast (I mean, leaps-and-bounds bigger than most people are able to imagine), and the challenges that would face a race of beings to overcome these incredible distances is absolutely mind boggling.  If you're savvy enough to understand the technology required to venture to and from star systems (in the span of a lifetime or less), then you'd know it would be damn near impossible to do so.

If aliens DO exist, what do they look like?  Well, just take a look at the diversity of life forms on our own planet.  There's some pretty weird creatures that inhabit the Earth, so the sky's the limit when trying to imagine what an alien might look like.  On the other hand, if the aliens we're talking about are intelligent machine builders, then that would narrow the possibilities considerably:  a life form would still need the necessary appendages to create and manipulate the tools needed to build and maintain a complex civilization, no?

Jus' my two cents.

We started on Mars, and then migrated here when we destroyed that planet. The elite of our species live inside the moon. In fact they made the moon to hide in and watch us from. They also inhabit areas inside the earth. UFO's are just them going back and forth. If you would watch "Ancient Astronauts" on the History Channel, you would already know all this :)

How else do you think this planet was populated?...y’all want me to give a clue ? Gradelyduck ..

Yeah ! Yeah ! Well anyhow I gotta tell y’all you know Aliens with pointy heads an’ stuff who suddenly come at night an’ scare living daylights owtta us all...well, I received really nice Alien contact by e-mail...an’ it says their coming for to abduct me at me at exactly 9 am Thursday next, Do y’all think that I should go,.... er what happens if I don’t go?..But they do seem so nice...

Robxx - Posted - 06/12/2011:  14:02:19

I might have known you wouldn't be a  believer in the creation Gradely.  Anyway Roxy you go, don't worry about us, we'll be ok, just remember to bring us back some photos...

gshall - Posted - 06/12/2011:  14:21:15

I used to work for a woman who had a photo of an alien ship as it was disappearing and you could see stars behind part of it.  Dimensional travel?  Who knows.  We know what we know, but we can't know what we don't know.

Steven Hawking had it right.  The meeting of two cultures has always been devastating to the less advanced culture.  Maybe if they've come, they have enough sense to stay hidden.  They're doing a fine job of that.

I see I'm not alone in my theory. Glad more folks are finally seeing the "truth".

I don't know for sure one way or the other.

pandjlocke - Posted - 06/12/2011:  22:55:46

Heck, I'm still trying to find signs of intelligent life on our own planet. Best I've done so far is to stumble upon a bunch of banjo pickers. Scary?

Trewq36 - Posted - 06/13/2011:  06:13:45

UFOs are Humans Time Travelers from our future....

I am sure with the size of the universe that we are not the only place to spew life. But again because of the size and hence the time to travel to another system I doubt it happens very much if at all. And why come here? For Banjo lessons maybe?

Thus the UFOs that we have encountered  are history buffs  looking to experience the past.

Beanblossom - Posted - 06/13/2011:  08:58:46

Living in Phoenix, you see a lot of strange lights in the night sky.  I personally think most (not necessarily all) of the ufo sightings are actually government black ops experimental aircraft (or spacecraft).  For every piece of technology the government acknowledges, I bet there is at least twice as much that is out there that we don't know about.

They told me the same thing a while back.

I told them "OK, but I'm retired and don't get up until 9:30 am. By the way, I do play banjo."

They grunted and left. Haven't heard a thing from them since..........

Yes I believe! How can we the people of Earth think we are the only life in the whole Universe. I had an encounter with my first UFO when I was 10 years old and every few years I see the same craft I saw back then. No matter where I was in the world I encountered the same style and design of craft.

My last encounter was in 2001 for 4 nights in a row the craft came from the East  then hovered over my place of residence. for 3 of those nights it hovered then at a moderate speed headed towards the West. My wife even saw it. it was about 2 telephone poles high in the air approximately 120 feet up. made no sound coming and going

No it wasn't a balloon. It was triangular in shape with 9 glowing lights 3 on each bottom side. the last night I had my Powerful hand held spot light with me and I illuminated it  and when I did all the lights on the craft  lit up the area brighter than day, when the light went out the craft was gone.

The one I saw was similar to this photo.

Do they believe in us?

bikebum - Posted - 06/13/2011:  14:52:31

Good concept Paul. Except that I figured they are not taking over this old body. They are bailing out like rats leaving a sinking ship.

roxygrl - Posted - 06/14/2011:  10:47:50

..Well gotta tell y’all, it don’t look as if I have any choice as did ole’ BigJohn, anyhow don’t think I believe what he's sayin’ ‘bout tellin’ them!... y’all can’t inform Aliens as to  special requirements an ‘stuff,....they just calls an’ you go !..Ain’t that so ?

Anyways I aren’t no chicken, so I will be ready at specified abduction time, thanks to Robxx I’m taking my camera along, anyone who have any other ideas let me know afore 9am,....anyone have ideas for recording sound ?

..Something does concern me jus' a little...ahm..Do they remove your clothing? ..An’ stuck a needle in your eye...? Am I in for surprise..?...

edavidt - Posted - 06/14/2011:  10:53:43

Well, if you ever taught in public schools, you would be pretty certain that the aliens are already among us.

And, when I think of the structure of carbon - with its valence of 4 and its wonderful symmetry, I would say that there is a very likely chance that carbon based life forms have evolved in many places throughout the universe.   But, I will probably never know for certain.

I always thought that alien in the pic from Star Trek was a dude, but it turns out it's a woman.

Still looks like an unusually wimpy guy to me.

Interesting program on one of the history channels tonight... features new vidieos ;and their analysis by the experts... interesting but didn't have time to set through the commercials...

As before on this topic...   what would really be amazing, with the myrid of life forms on earth, would be that there wasn't life elsewhere...  The latest  scientific evidence is that the materials responsible for life were from space...

Define alien. At what point does something, or some one become naturalized? I'm told, on the east coast, if your family didn't come over on the May Flower, you're a new comer. Being a SNOB member myself (Society of Native Oregon Born) while I razz those transient Californians who can't hack a wet winter, if you can tough it out a decade, you're good.

I ask, because I've often wondered if the whole of Mankind wasn't brought about from some alien pit stop. I mean, we do NOT fit the mold. I think we all are desendents from an alien space herd that got loose during a refueling and got busy with the wild native life. I'm sorry, but nothing else truly explains us. God would have done a better job! I know he would have!

..Well y’all could be correct ‘mander’ I been in an’ out so many worm holes wouldn’t really know..well, them Aliens finally returned me from outta there where ever it were, maybe was galaxy or black hole, anyway aren’t feelin’ much good with all the probes an’ needles an’ investigations goin’ on around me, as y’all can see from my Avatar photo, I’ll be ready to answer any questions an’ meet up with newspaper & TV reporters an’ stuff as soon as feeling a little recovered,..funny thing,  on my return, the time on my 'Minnie Mouse' bedside alarm clock was just one minute past 9 am, an’ it’s still the same day as day of abduction, I must have been gone for more than a minute ?....Anyone as can explain that..? y’all have any questions please ask me later…

Jethro Aberdeen - Posted - 06/20/2011:  20:12:59

No, I don't per say... but I do believe what ever it is,  it is masquerading as UfOs and it is really fallen angels with a hidden agenda that will ultimately be used to deceive the world in the future. "Signs and wonders". Strange how people would rather believe this planet was "seeded" by aliens than a Divine Being created it. Even atheists have faith in something.

I have followed Roxy’s amusing abduction story with amusement could it really happen?

Well she ends with an intelligent poser question that some may have missed? Apart from the Mickey mouse clock reply.

[…funny thing,  on my return, the time on my 'Minnie Mouse' bedside alarm clock was just one minute past 9 am, an’ it’s still the same day as day of abduction, I must have been gone for more than a minute ?....Anyone as can explain that..? ]

This maybe a little off topic but maybe she was referring to something like this question?

Einstein proved that the faster you go, time slows down. If an astronaut, aged 30, who had a wife, also aged 30, travels at the speed of light to the nearest star in our solar system, which is 4.3 light years away, and returns immediately, he will be 38 years old. How old will his wife be?
