The beautiful thing about Arthur is how he makes a hotel room just like home. In fact I stopped by 1028 and there was Arthur hard at work. It looked almost like his own workshop. .

Arthur, I want to thank you for your hospitality and good times while at SPBGMA. Hanging out in your room was better that any other place I found to be while we were down there. Your room was always filled with good people and great musicians. Sherry and I love it and look forward to next year.
I appreciate you taking time to put my newly purchased Celebrity back like it was when you built it. There was no doubt that it was in need of your services. Thanks Arthur for just being one fine fella and a master banjo maker.
This is just a little piece of what those that could not make it missed.

Ditto what everybody else said. There's not a nicer fella in this world than Arthur Hatfield. He makes a friend out of everyone who visits him there at SPBGMA. I had GREAT time there picking with Ed, Christi, Jason and Tony, and getting to hang out with one of my banjo heroes, Big K himself.
Oh, and by the way, Arthur's banjos are TOP NOTCH and very reasonably priced for the outstanding quality. If you are considering an upgrade, don't buy anything until you go see Arthur. I picked the Celebrity myself... wow.

Glad everyone had a good time and enjoyed themselves and good to see all our friends again and meet all the people that we met for the first time. We want to thanks Donnie and Sherry Gill for making and giving pick pouches to so many of the pickers who came in they must have made and gave away close to a hundred of them. Hope to see all of you next year if not before and a lot of new faces.

Greg was good to see and talk with you again, of course for the folks who know the both of us know we can talk a long time and not say much, but we did talk a little serious stuff. As for the bed being taken over by banjos its the same at home the grandkids and banjos have taken over so we will soon be moved out in the yard.

Thanks to Arthur and Bev for a good time. Yes sir that coffee was good and cheap! Arthur and I had some wonderful goodies to go with it. Some cheese potato chips. That hit the spot with the java. Thanks to the Gill's for the pick pouch. I have put it to good use already. Wondered who that was I tripped over in the hall last night? Thanks Greg for setting the record straight. Is Chris Caputo worn out from his Nashville trip? Always good to pick with Arthur and the gang.

We had a great time in the Hatfield room. With so many banjo pickers available, I opted to play mandolin for a while. Arthur's room has some sort of gravitational pull, and it's not possible to walk past without stopping. Good people, great instruments. Grich showing up in his new coat fashioned from recycled carpeting from the old Holiday inn just completed the experience! 
All the pickers that showed up are great musicians. The rest of my band being there made this a fabulous time for me. Only 11 months and 29 days till the next one!

The thing I like most about Arthur is he treats a person like a person and not a dollar amount like some others do !
If you only have so much in your budget to spend on a banjo he makes sure you get the most for your money period !
He's just one of the best guys in the business and really cares about what he's doing ..... There's just a handful of builders I can recommend and I proud to say Arthur is one of them.

I would love to see Arthur lower that guide on the band saw to just above the work..its a lot harder to saw off something besides the wood by accident that way..sorry, buttin in where I shouldn't be there..BTW, I love your compensated bridge, have one on my old flathead, and it sounds pretty nice to my old ears..take care
