Not big on candy and don’t have much of a sweet tooth, but always enjoy some leftover Halloween candy. One of my favorites has always been KitKats.
Not anymore!!! Pretty sure they changed the recipe as it tastes like cheap plastic chocolate coating. Guess I’ll stick with Paydays & Almond Joys.
What’s your favorite?
Slammer!!!

We moved into town. Have been living out of town for 25 years. No trick or treaters until this year.
Bought $30 worth of candy. Two kids came. They got a lot.
And I get the rest...
Been a little hyper today. Got a lot of stuff done, too.

Not necessarily Halloween candy, but my favorite candy is the Take 5 and KitKats are #2.

I have a real sweet-tooth. You know, the kind that hurts when one eats candy?
I piece doesn't do it. But . . . . I like candy. We've got a bag of those little green Snickers! What am I sposed to do? Let them go bad?

Having eaten a fair amount in my younger days, I almost never eat candy now.

My preference then, and now, it towards chocolate - the darker and more bittersweet, the better. Never liked the super-sweet stuff. Back in the day, Hershey's Special Dark was a good grab. So were Reese's peanut butter cups. Always found stuff like Milky Ways unpleasantly sweet.

Oh, and candy corn? Truly vile. The only confection that I find even less appealing is Peeps.

Now, tell us what you really think about candy corn, Skip. devil

I dunno about the rest of Canada, but I don't know what candy corn and  peeps are.    Thank my lucky stars??

Anyhoo, after coffee and icing some sort of "inflammation" or other I'll consult the all-knowing Google. Knowledge is power??

Sincere best wishes in keeping it that way.  Canada has a habit of importing (or maybe the U.S. has a habit of exporting) many of our worst ideas to Yon Frozen North.

At least, that's how it was in the days BT (Before Tarriffs). laugh

Right now I'm working through a large bag of Lindor "assorted extra dark chocolate truffles".
Almost $20 but I average about 1/da.
Love to set one on a Danish butter cookie and nuke it.
The sum is greater than its parts.

Iceland is a place I've found very good local chocolates.
I'd go back, just for the chocolate.
It wouldn't do to buy it online.

Not that the raw ingredients can be grown there, but It does seem reasonable that a nation that considers Hákarl a delicacy would want something more pleasant as a chaser.

One of our Port Clyde kids was the envy of us,all.
Hot lunch was 25 cents at school (good kitchen with 3 local ladies doing great, traditional frying and baking.Homemade beans and casseroles.
But our hero would stop in the early-opening Port Clyde General Store and buy 5 Peanut Butter cups with his quarter.

He was a he!! of a drummer.
