Oldest turned three yesterday. Asked her what she wanted to do after brownies and ice cream. She said "do chores with daddy"... at 8pm... in the rain. So we did.
It turned into playing in the mud puddles, listening to her favorite music (the dead south) and looking for spiders with a flashlight.
Probably one of my favorite memories of my whole life so far. Just felt like sharing. I'm very blessed. I credit both going back to church and picking up the banjo for my improved outlook, patience, and gratitude lately.
(The blue things are temporary electric fence posts used for subdividing pasture for rotational grazing, apparently throwing them in puddles was hilarious)
