Below is a link to an interesting article on the Bluegrass Today website about Bela Fleck's recent musical collaboration with opera singer, Renee Fleming. They've produced an album titled "The Fiddle And The Drum". The boys and girls on the project are the usual Bluegrass suspects. Last night, I went to YouTube and checked out a few of the cuts on the album. The girl can sing. If my 1932 Gibson flat head could sing, I think it would sound like Renee. If she so desired, I believe she might have a viable future in Bluegrass.
Curtis McPeake named his old Gibson flat head Betsy, and Don Reno named his Nellie. I think I'm gonna' name mine Renee.
