Just thought I'd share, if f anyone was concerned about friends/loved ones in Anchorage. NWS issued Hazardous Weather Conditions... first ever Heat Advisory warning for Anchorage, temperatures last few days soaring to the mid 70s, (F not C).

Well we're mostly tough up here, most folks are managing to get thru just fine. But will gladly accept emergency relief funds for a cold 6-pack.

Those of us who live in California’s Central Valley—especially up north around Redding—are long used to triple digits. (Not Arizona heat, but warm enough.) I sympathize with the thousands who are new to this heat level. If you have a/c, crank it up and pay the bill. Worth every penny.

Here in West Texas, 100 plus for days on end is not unusual. Ours is usually a dry heat which makes it more bearable, if that's possible. As Bill said: we crank up the a/c and pay high energy bills.
