AI music is less about "being replaced" and more about how these streaming companies are using real music to train the AI, then feeding their own created AI into listener's recommended queue so that they have to pay out less to artists for streams. Mainstream America does not care, which is no surprise given the state of top 40 radio.

It IS music, and it was created by a real person. We don't all have to like the same thing. A diverse diet is healthy.

First generation legends only here. Anything past 1979 just does not exist in my Bluegrass world. Unless we are talking Ron Thomason and DBFS....

I like the bluegrass that me and my friends play.
I don't have much time for the other stuff.
I can't see AI from my porch.

Someone else here had made a tab request for an AI generated bluegrass song earlier this year, so I decided to use the software most of these "AI musicians" use to demonstrate how literally insane it is. All I typed into it was the lyrics and instructed "bluegrass song with country influence in the Key of B with male and female vocals. Should have banjo, mandolin, bass and flatpicked guitar."

the attached took 11 minutes to create from reading your post (even mentioned you by name to show I am not making this up).

the problem with this kind of stuff is alot of smaller bands rely on being discovered through youtube and streaming services. Also rely on it for people to go to their shows. But now if you go to youtube or spotify and play "bluegrass radio" you'll get 40-50% of your playlist of AI generated material.
