1929 Gibson TB-1 converted to 5-string by Arthur Hatfield. This banjo has its original, simple, hoop tone ring and bracket-shoe pot. I added a punched pre-war presto tailiece. The mahogany neck is a 1930s-style (bats and gulls) pattern. It is very lightweight and fun to play. I like the sound too. This recording is posted as a sample for a discussion.
