I played my all Metal banjo even the neck for this clip. Scrubbed it up good with my playing all the other instruments. Anyway this metal banjo sounds pretty darned good. There are some pics of it on my photos section. If I rode a Harley this would be the one I'd play at Bike Week....

Heck... Chuck Ogsbury got tired of trying to convince the bluegrass world that aluminum was great.
I'm a just novice when I put picks on -- but I play an ODE Grade 4 aluminum rim when I do attempt BG. (And others usually want to try it out... And then walk away scratching their head, wondering why it sounds so good)
Just got Borchelt hooked on an Aluminum ODE, too! ;-)
Good set-up, and correct right hand attack, are a big part of THE sound.
But Royce... your playing would be great on a tin can, strung with balin' "war". You're my favorite Scruggs picker on the Hangout. Hands down.

That sounds wonderful Royce, if you didn't tell us it was an all metal banjo I would have thought conversion!
