Not a common tune outside UK / Ireland - but I do in melodic style (capoing the 5th string up A). Might steal parts of your arrangement sometime :-)
I also play this on guitar.
It is quite common at UK and Irish Celtic English sessions though.

i like to play it as a duet sometimes with two banjos or a piano. i'm working on recording it with piano now.
