I always liked this song but it is a real bear to sing although it is fun to play. Recording King T36 tenor banjo, Stelling Red Fox 5 string and a vocal. Seemed like a good way to spend a rainy afternoon to me.

This is one of the songs my band Trespassers Will recorded several years ago. We were sort of a rock band but I liked to play banjo in it. In this song I'm doing some stuff inspired by Bach. My band frequently didn't know what to think of my ideas but I think this one worked. Mark David on guitar (http://www.banjohangout.org/my/mdhokie)

This is my wife on piano and I playing a sort of duet for Clemente's Opus 36. With the help of John McEuen I learned this song and then learned it a different way to play with my wife, then came up with this arrangement to give the song a duet kind of feel.

A song from the band Trespassers Will. Rock and roll banjo and some cool guitar work. i always liked how the banjo and guitar worked together on this one. That's Mark David ( http://www.banjohangout.org/my/mdhokie) on guitar there.

Two tenor banjos here- Nechville Phantom tenor and B&D Silver Bell #1 here plus a vocal. Thanks to the wonders of multi-track recorders they're all me. I was just fooling around playing this one day and decided to record it.

This is one of several songs I did with the UK techno artist Dark Blue Man. It started with me playing that Paganini Violin Caprice everyone knows and then Dark Blue Man doing his techno magic with it. It is popular in several of the dance clubs in the UK and I think he's put it out on an album of his. It's experimental so be prepared for something WAY different from what you're used to thinking the banjo is.

I needed a recording of Little Rock Getaway to show my bandmates how the song went for an upcoming show so instead of looking for a recording, I just made my own. I love the sound of a tenor banjo as rhythm behind a 5 string. Stelling Red Fox five string, Recording King T36 tenor. I was just messing around with the song and it was great fun.

Just a demo of a tune I'm working on with Anthony Ruocco- kind of just a test. We're working on a full version with all four parts, but this was our test to see how it would go together. I think it goes very well!

live in the radio studio with one mic- the sound gets kind of funky because this was taped from the radio but i really like the second banjo/fiddle break so thought i'd toss it in for listening.

I just got this new RK T36 yesterday. It is an amazing banjo. Please forgive the tentative right hand in the playing here, I had a minor wood cutting accident with my right hand two days ago and it is not up to par at the moment.

Another techno song I did with Dark Blue Man (or Jodiego as he was called then). Keep an open mind! Rumor has it, this originated as the Beethoven Mandolin Sonata.
