This was recorded by Anne and Bucky Gilbert on August 17, 1963 at Geroge Pegram's home in Union Grove, NC. They had visited to do a home recording, but found the local minister visiting George and he would only sing hymns while the minister was there. For those of you who knew George, you know he needed serious salvation after some of those fiddlers convention escapades!

Beautiful. A.C. Overton played a "blood" medley in a 2-finger style with a very similar beautiful but gutsy sound: Are You Washed in the Bllood, Power in the Blood, and There is a Fountain. To me finger picks & tone ring banjos add an edge that keeps it from being too corny.
