This is one of the first tunes I learned on the banjo. aEADE tuning which Charlie Payne of Blairsville Ga. who I learned it from, call Frankie & Johnny tuning. It comes out in the Key of G. 2-finger, index lead.

Nice, distinctive treatment of this song. There is a lot of tasteful melodic variation packed into your brief recording. Thanks for including the tuning.
