Genre: Unknown/None Chosen / Playing Style: Clawhammer and Old-Time

This is another of my favorite sawmill tunes, but I often play it in double C. This is the only tune where I use chokes/bends and where I use the chuck/cluck. I also play it over the neck, which is not something I usually do. I'm playing this on my Wildwood.

Thank you very much!  I learned about bending for CH songs from Dwight Diller. Cluck Old Hen really seems to need it ... the cluck too...I mean, it's a song about hen after all.

Great playing.  Nothing like a little chicken pickin' to drive away the evil spirits.  Terrific music.

When I hear you playin this I picture noble chickens marching down a golden path into a forgotten wood.  You rule.

Really, really, REALLY fine.  Very bluesy, very funky.  Lots of soul.
