I hope you enjoy this song I wrote and dedicated to a friend who passed away in November of 2007. She inspired me to write it when I visited her at the nursing home, and which turned out to be our last conversation together before she passed. Our group (Churchyard) sang the song at her funeral Nov. 30. We haven't recorded the song, so what you are hearing is me :-) on guitar (Rainsong), dobro (Gold Tone Paul Beard Deluxe), banjo (Alvarez 4300), and mandolin chop (Weber Gallatin) :) I like the mellow recorded sound I get from the Alvarez.

Excellent song Dave. You are quite a song writer! Nice banjo tone, and great playing on all instruments! Great voice too.

Wow - Dave you are so multi-talented - or should I say multi-gifted!

This is one of those tunes you just couldn't get enough of! You hear the heartfelt message in both the lyrics and how you guys are playing it. Thanks for sharing!
