Inspired by Tom Adams, this is Floyd Cramer's "Last Date." My wife, Lynn, is on bass and I'm on banjo and guitar.

Beautiful! You make it sound like it was written for banjo. Nice full up the neck tone.

This tune is made for the banjo. It brings back memories for some of us old enough to have heard the original for the first time. A lot of work goes into learning a song like this one. You're rendition is superb Bill.

Thank you, Dave. I appreciate your comment. I, too, remember back when Floyd Cramer came out with this tune. I still have some of his old LP's.

I would love to have the tablature for this song. I've been trying to play it by ear but haven't quite got there yet.

Howdy, Doug
I don't play by tab, but there is a really nice tab of it in the Banjo Newsletter by Tom Adams. I hope that helps. :^)

Thanks bill. I'm new at the banjo and while learning new songs the tabs really help. It seems the more songs I learn the easier it is to just play what I am feeling.

Now THAT was a GREAT IDEA-to think 2 do this piece! I think it's neat to try not "just" Bluegrass Pieces...I'm wondering-have U ever Purchased any of The CMH-"Pickin' On"-Series C.D.s? Those may interrest U!

Thanks, Colleen! I got the idea from Tom Adams, who wrote about it in his column in the Banjo Newsletter. I do enjoy playing bluegrass, but REALLY enjoy trying things not in the bluegrass mainstream.
I have heard of the "Pickin' On" series, but haven't heard any of the CD's. Thanks for the reminder! ...I'll go get some of those this month! :^)

Sounds great, Bill. I always loved that tune, but it never occurred to me to play it on my banjo.
Thanks!
