Me trying to channel my inner Pete Seeger. Trigger warning : I do attempt to sing in this one. About the song, Alouette is an old french-canadian tune. Here is an interesting wikipedia article about the songs origins.

Haven’t heard this in decades! You sing it fine and the banjo accompanies you nicely.

Haha thanks. To be honest, I know I don't have a great singing voice (neither do a lot of well know musicians...Bob Dylan springs to mind), but i'm trying to practise singing while strumming on the ol' banjo, so i've been using songs that are easy to remember and that have been a part of my life since forever. Technically, my first language was french, but I was mostly brought up in english, but for some reason the singing just comes out more naturally in french.

One evening, we heard this song on television and decided to add it to our collection. We enjoy the sound of a twang, and this is unquestionably it.
