Really great pickin, You've got my curiosity now Steve, it sounded like in one part there the notes were going up on one string and down on another at the same time? That sounds neat. Thats the best I've ever heard that tune played.

I like getting that G7th(F note on the 4th...the D chord note backed off one) between the D and C chords.I like how it descends too,Paul.
Thanks, everyone. This has always been one of my favorites.

That was wonderfully played. I guess you've arranged it all yourself and what a fine job you did of it!

Tain't exactly the way I heard old Earl play it on the album, but (darn me like an old sock, or dam me like a beaver pond) that sounds GOOD!!
Less frantic a pace than his, more like the actual penduluim speed of an actual seven-foot-tall clock. He's famouser, you're pendulumously authenticer. (Don't let it go to your head. Having "More Pendulumously Authenticer Than Earl" engraved on your tombstone would be a VERY expensive bit of bragging.)

Thanks,Dennis and Mike. This song is the one I most connect with my mother, who played it so many times for me while I accompanied her on our Silvertone banjo.
"Pendulumously authenticer"...my,oh my,Mike...you, sir,are a hoot and a half.

That's nice ! Well done, in the Jens Kruger tradition ( time we replaced E. with Jens as the benchmark??? ))....did I say that out loud? Really nice.

That's as about a fine rendition of that tune as I've ever listened to. Very very nice.
