My Attempt at capturing the sound of the Middle East on Banjo

Intriguing! I really like this. I can't wait to see what you do in this direction again. I never thought of playing Middle Eastern music on a banjo, so you have opened my eyes and my creative world by posting this.
Would you ever consider making this as a video as we can see how you are doing this on your banjo, and what type of banjo you are playing?
This would be perfect for many Australian Belly Dancing groups, to be able to play banjo live for them would be awesome!
Did you write this yourself? Did you adapt this from a song that you know well?

I have long held my sister was the greatest belly dancer of her time. She hit sixty (and looked thirty) and decided it was time to find other pursuits. Because of her interests, I have listened to a considerable amount of Middle Eastern music over the years and have long seen the similarities between Middle East and Appalachia music. You really hit a "sweet spot" that joins the two to the benefit of both. Really enjoy your playing
