A G tune from the playing of fiddler Jim Reed. Played on my Menzies tackhead in standard tuning, but tuned down to C.

What a cool tune and beautifully played!
Never thought to lower the tuning down that much, but it sounds really nice.
I will be putting nylon strings on my Ramsey soon and I think I'll let them settle there for a little bit before bringing them up to G.

Thanks! The gut strings I have on my banjo are intended to be tuned down lower. If you look at Aquila strings, they have a minstrel set for the lower tunings, and a classic set which will let you tune them up to G.
