Sounds great! Turns out this is from the Volo Bogtrotters (Chicago, IL). In an attempt to recount from memory a tune they heard from KY fiddler Owen "Snake" Chapman, they produced this excellent tune. They also also call L'ville. One of my favs - well done sir.

Snake Hunt just popped up for the first time (for me, anyway) at a jam I go to in Santa Barbara, CA. I jumped right in on the nice, predictable A-section, then -- whoa! -- where *is* that fiddler going?! What a great B-section! Glad you recorded it here. Now I can make sure I know it cold for next time.

Great song, loved it. I'm glad this music is doing well in Portland, it didn't much exist when I lived there.
