Thank you. Yes, I've been going to lessons for eight weeks now. I've been recording myself since week one and it's neat to see the progress. The teacher said I'm doing so well he wants to do Foggy Mountain Breakdown next week and I told him I'm not ready for that. :)

Hi, Kala. You're very wise to record your progress. Fantastic! By the way, I think you ARE ready for FMB; it was one of the first tunes my instructor taught me because it has all those classic Scruggs licks that you will need and want to know later on. Play on; you're doing great!

Thank you, thebanjobert. I'd like to learn Scruggs because my dad knows Scruggs. My teacher is teaching me Don Reno style, but because my teacher knows my dad from a long time ago and knows he's a Scruggs player he will tell me how each one plays the song differently (sometimes).
