Celtic fingerstyle (short for "Irish-and-Celtic-3-finger-style-5-string banjo") renders this tune quite differently from melodic-style bluegrass picking, slowing down the tempo, swinging the tune more, and, using triplets where one would not find them in Bluegrass or Old-Time versions of the fiddle tune. Celtic fingerstyle variation techniques may be be used to play Old-Time, Bluegrass, Folk or British Isles tunes to give them a Celtic sound. With gratitude to Mel Bay for letting me upload this here, another sample from my first book/CD, Complete Book of Irish & Celtic 5-String Banjo - read more here: http://www.melbay.com/Products/95759BCD/complete-book-of-irish--celtic-5string-banjo.aspx

Thanks guys, yeah, Peter, that's based on Eileen Ivers' Irish version. She likes to blues out, and it's a nice variation that she brought to the tune.
