Thanks to Eric Schlange for suggesting this as the Bluegrass TOTW, Casey Henry for teaching me the basics of this tune, Rob Bishline for helping me refine it, and Layne Publications for the Backing Track.

Very nice Terry! Now let's pick up the speed a little...haha! Just kidding. It sounds pretty darn good to me. I printed out a couple of tabs to learn this one myself but I haven't had the time to do it yet!

Thanks, Sheri! Yeah, I can play it much faster - except for the single string work. I tend to botch that at faster tempos, so I decided to just try to keep it clean, for now!

Cool Terry. You've got a good feel for it. If you're looking for four more solos to that, it's on my Rise & Shine CD, which I think you have. That's a good way to put the song together with the backing tracks.

Hey, Eddie, thanks! Yes, I've listened to your recording of Banjo Signal over and over; you play the fire out of it!! Mine needs a lot of work, yet but it's getting there. I just started working on 'John Hardy' today, and have listened repeatedly to your arrangement on the 'Rapid Transit' CD. (By the way, I still say 'Rapid Transit' is one of my favorite tunes.) You play some outstanding breaks on that one, too - as always. How are you doing? Did I read somewhere you are going to release another CD soon?

A bunch of the John Hardy licks are in my Beyond the Basics book, which I think you have. I making a CD of "soothing" banjo music. Interesting project, all mellow stuff. BTW, I'm teaching at Kaufman's Bluegrass Camp this June if you're looking for a really good camp. Keep on picking.

I have the 'Basics' book, but it doesn't appear I ever got 'Beyond'. But, if it has some John Hardy licks, stand by for an order because, as you know, I'm not beyond stealing some of your licks........I'll keep an eye out for your new project; I'll want a copy when it's released although "soothing" and "banjo" are not normally terms you see in the same sentence! I'll do some thinking on Kaufman. I was going to ask if Bob was going to fire Kerrville up again. What's your curriculum for the Camp? I don't see it on the Camp pages.
