I got the idea for this after stumbling across a recording by Red Rector and Jethro Burns, which I had forgotten that I owned.

I played some gigs with the late Red Rector back in the late '60's/early 70s, and it was one of his signature tunes. We played it about every gig.

That was superbly played! By coincidence, I played some gigs with Red and Bill Clifton in England in the early 70's. And - further coincidence - I am playing mostly ukulele these days (tenor). Anyway, it was great to hear this!

Thank you very much. I’ve enjoyed your music for a while now too. I am trying to work up Bill Keith’s version of Night in Tunisia, and during the process I recently watched your video of that tune and it was great. Your version of Dusty Miller is also on my list of tunes to learn.

Tremendous. Beautiful. Inspiring. And one of the best solos on all of the BHO.
