Rich Hartness on fiddle and myself on banjo, recorded late at night at Rich's house in Greensboro, NC, August 23, 2002. I was getting used to Rich's slightly different timing, and I miss his extra beat at the end of the high part a few times.

Very, very nice. Yes, thanks for sharing.
Do you know how did JHB end up with the same lyrics as Regular John Henry but totally different notes?

Dang, wrong combox. Forgive by mistake. Was listening at work and had the wrong window open whilst listening to another.
This does sound nice. I love banjo and fiddle together, but fiddlers can be tricky.
