I was watching an Appalshop documentary on strip mining the other night. They always have great music and this was one of the tunes played. So here's my attempt at a simple, pretty tune. 2-finger syle in double D

I'm going to have to learn this. You bring out the soft sweetness that is in all banjos but few players are able to produce as you do.

This is just the best I ever heard this played on the banjo. Very delicately and thoughtfully done. It really brings out the best qualities of the Keys/Arnold style of two finger picking.

odd how "simple" is always the most difficult. you've done it nicely here. certainly sets one back in the chair.

Hi Chip! I keep coming back to your tunes after a 2-finger practice session and am always astonished of how full and vibrant everything sounds. The tunes are just splendid and I keep telling my wife, "See that's what I want to sound like!". Thanks again for all your posts regarding this style- the help is invaluable and I appreciate the time and consideration you take.

Well, you have just made the top spot on the Top 100 Playlist with this tune. It deserves to be there, for sure. Just plain beautiful banjo picking.

Oh, I really like that, Chip. This is one of the very first tunes I learned to play in clawhammer style in Double C (X2).

Sweet! This has been a favorite tune of mine for years & we play it periodically. I might have to see if Lucy would like to learn this version. Thanks, Chip.
