This is another version of this cool tune written by Gene Lockhart and Ernest Seitz and made popular by the likes of Les Paul. This was recorded about 4-5 years ago when a friend of mine in Knoxville, Kent Bilbry, bought an 8-track digital recorder and I spent a day or two over there laying down about 20 raw tunes. This started as me on banjo playing to a tick track in one take then I overdubbed a 2nd banjo part and later on Kent added some bass, mandolin, and guitar. My part was done without edits in one pass, so there may be a few spots here and there but it is what it is. For me, it was a lot of fun to do it and to heard it again, about 5 years later, for the first time... This tune is in the key of C, and I play the 2nd chord as an A minor. Many folks play the 2nd chord as a C-diminished, which to my ear seems out of character to the tune, so I rarely play it that way. Either way, it's still a cool tune. Enjoy.
