Composed in honor of Elizabeth Keating Power, or Mrs. Power, Fanny Power’s mother. This tune is more commonly referred to as O’Carolan’s Concerto and is one of his best known creations wherein he affected a singular but lasting marriage of the Irish tradition with the Baroque.
